The Creative Process and Setting
Our plan was to create a bridal editorial with a London city chic theme, embracing neutral tones that complement each of the careful chosen settings. From the outset, our goal was to keep the images stylish, modern but romantic. I love wandering around the cobbled streets behind the Town Hall, capturing close-ups and romantic portraits that peek into the city’s character. The streets are full of charm and provide the perfect backdrop for intimate shots with a modern urban vibe. There’s something truly special about working in London, especially when you get to do a bridal editorial in one of its most iconic and historic venues The Old Marleybone Town Hall. As a London wedding photographer, I adore capturing the city’s timeless charm and blending it with contemporary bridal style. So, when Eva from Eva Schulze Bridal Styling approached me to bring her vision to life, I couldn’t resist and I knew it was going to be an incredible session.

Let’s start with my love affair with The Old Marleybone Town Hall. This venue is bursting with history, offering an elegant backdrop for any wedding or editorial. The building’s 17th century architecture and grandeur make it a perfect setting for capturing classic yet modern images. It’s a place I’m always excited to work at, bringing out the timeless romance paired with a touch of London’s city vibe.
Exploring Behind the Old Marleybone Town Hall
We had mapped out our adventure to explore the charming area behind the Old Marleybone Town Hall. Wandering through the cobbled streets was everything we had hoped for. Beautifully serene with a hint of old-world charm. It really is a lovely, quiet spot to whisk a bride and groom away from the hustle and bustle of a busy wedding. The intimate atmosphere added a romantic urban vibe to their wedding portraits, creating memories that felt both unique and personal.
The Landmark Hotel
After, we headed to the iconic Landmark Hotel across the road. It’s iconic style is just that. I love working with direct flash to create a striking, contemporary editorial look. Working with Hannah and Joe (recently featured in Vogue) brought an extra layer of excitement. Their effortless chemistry and fashionable style really brought our vision to life
Park Crescent
To finish the session we took a black cab just down the road to Park Crescent, where the architecture’s soft, neutral tones would be a great way to finalise and wrap up the session. It’s always a joy to plan a shoot that flows seamlessly through different London locations. It is really important to me to be organised and that is echoed from all stages from planning and throughout the day
